About Coordinated Acupuncture Treatments

Coordinated treatments are acupuncture sessions scheduled on the day of an IUI procedure or embryo transfer.

Here’s what it involves:

✓ Arrive one hour early in Waltham for a 30-minute acupuncture treatment at the Wellness Center. The pre-transfer treatment uses acupuncture points that encourage vasodilation and calm your nervous system, which relaxes the uterus to decrease cramping and contractions. The treatment is calming and helps optimize uterine receptivity.

✓ Then, you’ll meet your care team for your IUI procedure or embryo transfer.

✓ Immediately afterward, you will go back to the Wellness Center for a second acupuncture treatment which focuses on relaxing the nervous system and uses acupuncture points to encourage blood flow to the uterus.

Our practicing acupuncturists are highly educated in both Eastern and Western medical philosophies, each holding at least a Master’s degree.
