TREATMENTS

Nick and I had tried starting our family for 7 years. We had gone through 5 failed IUIs (through our doctors office) before we heard about Boston IVF. We decided to try Mini IVF. I was at my breaking point. Our first transfer was a fresh embryo and it failed. It took my two years to find the courage to try again. Dr. Lannon helped me through this. I can say that without that one phone call with him - I don’t think I would have transferred our last two embryos. But after talking to him, I decided to just do it. So we had a frozen embryo transfer of our last two embryos!

our story

By Stacy & Nick

After 7 years of heartache we finally had a positive pregnancy test! We now have boy/girl twins!

Stacy & Nick

How did your boston ivf physician and nursing team help to make your journey a success?

Dr. Lannon called me himself on the day that I was ready to give up and have my embryos discarded. If it wasn’t for that phone call I would have made the decision to not do our last transfer. I am so thankful to the staff in the Portland office for our beautiful twins!

What were some highs or lows of your treatment(s)? What is unique/different about your story?

The embryologist was on vacation the week that my transfer came up. She came in for us! We felt like we weren’t just a statistic and that they were really rooting for us - and wanted to help us start our family.

What advice do you have for other struggling with infertility?

Don’t give up. I’ve been to the point where I was done and my heart couldn’t take anymore. I dug down deep and found the little bit of strength I had left to try one more time. That one more time was our "happily ever after" - and I’m so very happy we tried again.
