WHAT OUR STUDIES OFFER
Some research studies may offer free or discounted treatment and medications. In fact, over 40 patients have received free IVF treatment as part of research studies over the past 2 years. Some studies are simply survey-based, while others are more complex.

COVID-19 & INFERTILITY STUDY
What the study investigated?
What is the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on infertility patients?
What the study showed?

IVF OUTCOMES IN FEMALE-TO-MALE TRANSGENDER PATIENTS STUDY
What the study investigated?
This study investigated aegg freezing outcomes in female-to-male transgender patients.
What the study changed?
This novel study served to reassure transgender patients and their care providers that the number of eggs retrieved is similar to cisgender patients. It also showed that encouraging pregnancy results could be obtained in transgender patients. Learn more about the study here.
Fast Track Standard Treatment (FASTT) TRIAL + Forty and Over Treatment (FORT-T) trial
What the study investigated?
These landmark studies were performed several years ago at Boston IVF and investigated the role of multiple insemination (IUI) cycles compared to IVF in women with infertility.
What these studies changed?
These studies changed infertility insurance policies and clinical practice recommendations, leading to accelerated treatment for many patients, reducing time to pregnancy and cost for infertility treatment.
To test or not to test? A framework for counselling patients on preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A)
What the study investigated?
Which patients would benefit most from choosing Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A) in their IVF cycle.
What the study showed?
Patients greater than 38 years old and those performing their second IVF treatment cycle benefit most from selecting PGT-A. This outcome assists clinicians when deciding the best treatment plan for patients.
LIVE BIRTH WEIGHT OVER TIME IN IVF BABIES
What the study investigated?
Have changes in IVF practice over the last 18 years impacted live birth weights of children born from IVF?
What the study found?
There was no change in live birthweight of IVF singleton deliveries over an 18-year period despite significant clinical and laboratory changes.
MIND/BODY WELLNESS STUDY
What the study investigated?
To determine if women who were randomized to a mind/body program before starting their first IVF cycle would have higher pregnancy rates than control subjects.
What the study found?
This study showed that stress has a major impact on a women’s infertility and that addressing stress by attending mind/body sessions improved the chance of pregnancy.
